| This is, without doubt, Dominican's most cherished culinary treasure. It is a dish that is usually prepared for special occasions. Its preparation is long and it contains many ingredients. However, the time it takes to prepare is the time best enjoyed with friends, while drinking a little rum or a cold beer. The traditional one is made of beef, however the Sancocho de Siete Carnes (7-meat Stew) is the deluxe version. You can skip the other meats if you want. Time: 90 Mins Difficulty: Advanced Serve: 6 people Before starting to cook: Cut the meat into small pieces. Scrub the meat (except the pork sausage) with the lemon. Ingredients:

| Sancocho I HAVE MADE THIS PLENTY OF TIMES AND YOUR RECIPE W/ 7 MEATS MAKES IT EVEN BETTER BUT I HAVE A LITTLE TIP I TAKE THE GREEN PLATAINS AND GRIND TO MAKE A PASTE(RAW) AND SEASON W/SALT AND ADOBO AND SPOON IN (LIKE LITTLE BALLS) AND ITS GREAT THEY TASTE LIKE PATELES EN HOJA LITTLE BALLS TRY IT AND U WILL LOVE ![]() |

| bollos de platano the way my family does them is by grating them with the knife (but you can use a grater) and we only add salt and extra virgin olive oil and shape them into balls.and for the meats in the sancocho I marinate them overnight in the seasonings. |
