1. Rinse and chop

  • Rinse the guava. Chop or cut into wedges.
    Chopping guava.

2. Blend

  • Combine guava and 1 quart [1 liter] of water in the blender, and blend until the pulp is broken down leaving the seeds as whole as possible.
    Sieve with a fine-mesh sieve, pressing to extract as much liquid as possible.
    Discard the solids.
    Sieving guava.

3. Freezing

  • Pour the juice into the molds and insert the sticks.
    Freeze for 4–5 hours.
    Pouring into molds.

4. Serve

  • Remove from the mold and serve.
    Guava popsicles (paletas de guayaba).
