Air Fryer Chicharrón de Pollo [Video+Recipe] Crispy Chicken Bites

Ingredients
- 2 skin-on chicken leg quarters
- 3 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon pepper (freshly-cracked, or ground)
- 2 teaspoon sweet paprika or bija powder
- 2 teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
Instructions
1. Ready chicken
- Remove meat from bones. Cut chicken into small pieces that you could eat in one or two bites. Leave the skin on the chicken. 💡 You can use the leftover bones and parts to make chicken broth.
2. Season chicken
- In a mixing bowl, season the chicken with Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika or bija. Mix well to coat the chicken with the seasonings.Cover and let it rest for half an hour.Sprinkle the flour, trying to coat the chicken evenly with it. Stir to mix in.
3. Preheat air fryer
- Preheat the air fryer to 400 ºF [200 ºC] for about 5 minutes.
3. Chicharrones de pollo in air fryer
- Reduce the temperature to 365°F [185°C] and cook for 15–20 minutes, or until they are golden brown, the skin is crispy, and they are fully cooked through.⚠️ The first time around they stuck to the bottom a bit, which was mostly solved by coating the bottom with a bit of sprayed oil or using a liner.
4. Serve
- Serve right out of the air fryer for maximum crispiness.
