Ingredients

tablespoons
vegetable oil
(peanut, corn or soy)

tablespoon
garlic salt
½
teaspoon
cumin powder

tablespoon
turmeric powder

large carrots
cut into thin strips
1
large cauliflower head
cut into large florets

cup
Rice Select Royal Blend
(texmati, white, brown, wild and red)

boiling-hot water
Instructions
Heat the oil in a thick-bottomed pot over medium heat.
Add garlic salt, cumin powder and turmeric. Mix well.
Add carrot and cauliflower. Sautee stirring for 30 seconds.
Add the rice and stir mixing well.
Add boiling water. Stir.
Simmer over medium heat until the water has evaporated, stirring frequently.
Lower heat to very low and simmer covered for 15 minutes.
Uncover, stir and simmer for another 5 minutes.
Remove from the pot and serve.
