MOFONGO GARLIC-FLAVORED PLANTAINS

Mofongo (Garlic-Flavored Mashed Plantains) is a very tasty dish with pork rind mixed in and strong umami flavor that will become your new favorite recipe.

INGREDIENTS

Oil | Beef Bones Garlic | Onions Cilantro Oregano Salt | Plantains Pork Cracklings 

Make Broth

Prepare the broth in a deep pot.  Simmer for an hour. 

Fry Plantains

Heat oil & fry the plantains until they become golden brown.

Crush Plantains

Using a pilón to crush the garlic and salt, add plantains & mash.

Shape 

Shape into 6 balls & place into small bowls.

Serve

Place the balls onto the serving plates & garnish with broth, that you'll pour over the mofongo balls. Enjoy!
