After I thought I was done with my jersey stash, I found some old jersey knits that I forgot I had. Yay! I'll get to sew some more of the tops I usually wear here. That's the kind of winter we have.
This knit is pretty heavy, it's they type used for polos. It doesn't drape as well as the thinner knits I usually use, and it's still just as hard to handle. The good thing is that it seems like it will be pretty resistant to multiple washes, and I like the color.
The "leafy" neck was a happy accident. I ran out of fabric to finish the neck, so I covered the unfinished section with leaves and flowers. It's my own version of the ruffles that are so popular nowadays. It gives volume and texture to the otherwise plain top.
The sleeves end with an elastic edge, giving them a slightly-puffy appearance.
I am loving my new green top.

It is a lovely colour, and yes - the leafy embellishments 'make it'.
