I painted the bench at the entrance, made some cushions, and placed some storage baskets underneath. I wasn't very confortable with the idea of painting a bench myself at the beginning, but it turned out pretty well, if I may say so myself.
You can see the before and after here, it was a slow transformation. This is proof that a little bit of paint and some nice fabric can do wonders for our home.
