| My husband and I are domincians living in the US with our three kids for the past 8 years hoping to someday return to the motherland. I am soooooo happy to have found this site as I know how to cook regular dominacan meals but can never remember the exact recipies or ingredients, it's great to have a reference. One thing I have never been able to get right is FLAN, the consistency is always off for me and I don't know why... Any clues or suggestions? Thanks! |

| I'm wondering about flan too... My mom is practically famous for hers. I just got the recipe for it and made it for Christmas. It tasted great, but there was a bit of a problem. My mom says hers only takes about an hour or so to cook... Mine took around 3 hours!!! Tell me, do you think this could because of the size of our pans, or because I live in the mountains (the elevation might change things)? Oh well, it still tasted great! |
