Question Are you new here? Please read this.

First of all, welcome! We are very glad that you decided to join our little community. Please open a thread and introduce yourself, we want to meet you.

This is a friendly community dedicated to the promotion of the rich Dominican culinary culture. Some of us are Dominicans, some of us aren't. Some of us have been to the Dominican Rep., some of us are dying to visit. Some of us are related to the Dominican Rep., some of us simply love good food. Whatever brought you here you probably have something in common with all of us.

Before you start posting in our forums maybe you'd like to know if we have any rules, and we do, please read below.

First: Be nice. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever why we should ever lose our temper. In 3 years that we've had a forum there hasn't been any problems. Please help us keep the record for many years more.

Second:
Please do watch your language. No, we are not prudes, but we are trying to keep a child-friendly forum. Many kids use our site and forums for school assignments. We try to maintain a community where they are safe.

Third: Please respect other people's properties. We are sticklers for respect of copyright. What you find in the internet belongs to somebody, and it is illegal to take it without permission. If you want to comment on something you found somewhere else, please copy a small fraction and a link to it. We'll go there and read it ourselves.

Forth: Please do not abuse font size and color. What you have to say is important, but the message has to get through without the disturbance of excessive use of color, size and smilies. Another reason is that people with poor sight can change the size of the fonts, if you modify them they won't be able to do it.

Fifth: Do not spam, it won't do you any good (not addressed to the vast majority of you folks). We will not tolerate people that come to peddle their wares and services here. Our system automatically adds nofollow to unapproved links, it won't help your ranking, and a mod will promptly come and delete your link, and probably either warn you or delete your account. Please ask us first.

Sixth: Please do not say anything that you could come to regret later. What you say here will be here for a looooooong time. We will not delete content at anyone’s request.

See, it didn't hurt. Now go ahead and enjoy our little Dominican corner in the web. Remember the rules can change or be modified at any time. Make sure to check here once in a while.

Your moderators
Aunt Clara, Aunt Ilana and Aunt Lina
