| Vinegret [vee-nee-grate] is one of the traditional vegetarian Russian dish, usually Russians cook in on a New Year’s eve. * 1 boiled beetroot * 4 boiled potatoes * 1 big boiled carrot * 1 onion * 2-3 pickled cucumbers (Russian size, not those ridiculous French cornichones!) * 1 can of green peas * Dill, parsley, celery, salt, vegetable oil Yep, cut those veggies into small cubes, add a lot of herbs, salt it and season with vegetable oil. Than mix everything together, add a little vegetable oil or olive oil and leave for a couple of minutes to give all mixed ingredient a chance to exchange their flavours. Enjoy! |
