| When you drive around the Dominican countryside you see a lot of houses with bare walls, only half the roof and obvious signs of on-going construction, and yet there are people living in them! Well, that’s how the poor here build their houses. They can’t afford to hire an engineering firm, and they’ve never heard of Martha Stewart. And so, that is how we built our site. We lacked the finances but we had more than a share of people willing to invest their time, effort and dedication. We had our kind sponsors and the people who support us with their purchases. Thanks to them we could do this. Today we officially declare our site finished (some improvements will be added later, but no rush). Come to celebrate with us, invite your friends to our little community. Spend time with us and share our passion for our cuisine. If you have any suggestions, please tell us. We love to hear from you. Bienvenido a su casa. Photo by Pedrito Guzmán. Used with permission. |

Thank you for making this website. I have been looking for Dominican recipes forever. I have even asked my grandmother to write down her recipes but she wrote them in Spanish (I can read and write and speak it, but I have trouble with little things which throw me off completely) and her handwriting is not understandable! THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!![]() |

| thanks to this website I have been put in touch with my roots. I'm curently going to an culinary school because I love cooking but I never knew how to make a traditional dominican dish and I was too shy to ask my mother to teach me since I'm suppose to be a chef and all, until I found this website. Thanks |
