dominican cake

do you know how to make the condensed milk filling? your recipe does not include that filling and that is the only filling I enjoy

Sorry, but I have never heard of this type of filling. Maybe you meant Crème Pâtissière (pastry cream, crema pastelera)?

Aunt Clara, I believe Debbie was asking for the "tres leche" filling some people use in Dominican cake, as opposed to fruit fillings.

Tres leches is a different kind of cake, and it has no filling, more like a sauce.

yes i believe you are correct , it is dulce de leche , this is the way I always bought it in New York. the filling is excellent

Hello Aunt Clara,

Yes, tres leche is a totally different cake, I have made it several times, but I put in quotations "tres leche" in my last reply because that is what many people call it. I believe it is dulce de leche but have no clue how to make it. Do you have a recipe?
