| A jarabe for gripe A few years back I had a terrible cough & mi suegra made some kind of jarabe to take away the gripe for me. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a recipe I can use to recreate this almost magical syrup (in my opinion). It consisted of: honey, radish, lemon, aloe vera, garlic, red onion, cinnamon. There are a few other ingredients but there was no one nearby to translate for us when we spoke so I do not know what they are. She told me to put these ingredients into the blender and then store everything in a glass jar in the fridge. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The doctors are not recommending any medicines to children under the age of 4 now & my 2 year old has a horrible cough. Thanks!! |

| Flu remedies - My Dominican mother-in-law makes a drink with watercress (berros), radish, onion and honey. There is also a commercial version with more or less the same ingredients. |
