| I did this recipe and I need clarification - the recipe calls for corn FLOUR, all I was able to find was superfine corn MEAL - would it be the same thing? I question it because when I have tried the actual Arepa straight from DR, it has a coursier texter and you can actually taste more corn flavor. The one I made was good but it actually feels like I was eating bread pudding. Should I continue to seek the FLOUR instead - would that be the difference? Please help. |

| arepa I use Goya brand fine yellow corn meal, Harin de Maiz. You can bake the arepa in a pot, but you have to grease it first. Grease a 2nd pot, if you have another one. If not, you'll have to pour the mixture out, clean the pot, then grease it & pour the mixture back in before you bake it. ![]() |
