Jugo de Tamarindo

Hi,
I am new to the forums but a member of the site for years. I love this site!!!! I was wondering if anyone can help me and give me the recipe of my favorite Jugo de Tamarindo. I have bought the pulp at my local supermarket but I don't know what to do next. My family members keep telling me it's easy to make, but then forget to show me how it is done!! lol
I would also like the recipes for the esquimalitos de coco, tamarindo, chinola y frambuesa. I want to relive those days of my trips to DR when I was a little girl and pass this on to my kids. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!

I found this on another site and I tried it.

1 cup tamarindo pods, 1 cup sugar, 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

As with jus de bissap, boil 2 quarts of water. Rinse tamarindo and remove pods if
possible. It is not necessary to remove the seeds. Add to boiling water. Boil for 1-2 minutes. Let stand until cool. Use strainer to remove larger sediment and seeds. Keep in mind that this juice is thick and that you should not remove the pulp. Remove smaller sediment while pouring into container. Add sugar and vanilla to taste. Refrigerate.
