To keep your kitchen clean always use the range hood when cooking. For better results turn it on at least 5 minutes before you start cooking.

If you want to squeeze every drop out of lemons Just put them 15 seconds in the microwave before you cut them. It will be much easier to squeeze them.

Don't substitute butter for margarine when baking. The result and taste will never be the same. For baking, use unsalted butter unless the recipe calls for the contrary.

When buying eggplants make sure that the skin is terse, glossy and elastic. Wrinkle, dull skin means that it is starting to decay.

You can substitute tomato paste for fresh tomatoes. Peel the tomatoes and let them simmer until most of the liquid evaporates. Freeze in a small containers and use when needed.

Tomatoes are not meant to be eaten green. Tomato plants contain Tomatine, a toxic substance also present in the fruit. As tomatoes ripen the levels of tomatine decrease.

To accelerate the ripening of an avocado wrap in A brown paper bag or a newspaper and place in a warm place. Leave it wrapped in a paper a few days checking daily.
