¡Feliz Navidad! I just wanted to wish the tias and everyone else on here a very merry Christmas and good luck to all those who'll be cooking tomorrow! - thank goodness I have one more day to get my head around it! This will be my first Christmas without the extended family, just myself, the hubby and the kids! Just 2 more sleeps now, can't wait! What is everyone else's plans for the festive season?

Thanks for your message. This is my first Christmas where I will be cooking some of the traditional Dominican dishes. I'm really nervous and just hope that I can make something turn out right. My husband is from the Dominican Republic and we are not going back home this year so I want to give him a piece of home this year. Wish me luck! Feliz Navidad!

We're spending a quiet one in our new home in Punta Cana. Not many people around because most people go back to their home towns for the holidays, but we are expecting a few visitors. Wishing everyone all the best for the festive season and a wonderful, tasty 2009!

We are in not-as-cold-as-I had-expected Denmark, celebrating a VERY traditional Xmas with my husband's family. No luck for a white Xmas, it's very rare in DK, but it's definitely different than Xmas back at home. Much food will be ingested, and plenty alcohol imbibed. We expect to leave the car here and walk back to the hotel.
