I breastfed my daughter for almost two years (short by weeks). She said one day "no more boobies" and that was that. I am glad to hear that more and more women are going back to breastfeeding.

Eliana will be 5 weeks next Monday. She's growing so quickly. A stranger asked me last week if she was 2mths old! This is how big she is!
The NHS are really trying to push breastfeeding, although there are some dumb people over here who, for some bizarre reason, are either grossed out or offended by a woman breastfeeding her child in public. I remember a while back, sitting next to a woman on the bus, who asked if it was okay for her to breastfeed her child next to me! Well, of course I had no objections but the mere fact that she felt she had to ask just made me feel so infuriated that there are people out there that would object. I think it's the best thing I can do for my little ones and much more convenient than bottlefeeding.
Unfortunately, my first one just would not take to breastfeeding, despite my persistance. It was getting in the way of us bonding so I just expressed as much as I could, this was only possible for 4 and a half months, after that I wasn't able to get enough to give her even 1 feed for the day. So you can imagine my relief that Eliana's taken to it like a duck to water. At least I won't have to worry about what I'll do the next time we visit the DR. Travelling with bottles and formula is a nightmare!
