Cool Favorite brand of salami

It seems like everyday I go to the supermarket there is a new brand of salchichon (salami) on the market. I miss the days when the TSA used to let us bring salami from DR because the domestic ones in the states simply just dont taste the same! Boo!

Anyhow, here in NY I've remained close to Higueral and sometimes Salami Campecino (yes a true classic - who remember the commercial with the brown skin old man saying "Si no es campecino, quitalo de mi camino).

So I want to know, what is your favorite brand of salami and why?

Well, the problem is that I don't eat meat, and nobody in my home likes it, so I can't really give you a recommendation (except that everyone knows Induveca and Jack Veneno)

My brother jokes that I can eat salami. "There's no meat in it". Heh!

In my family we prefer Induveca, but i like one that's not even dominican. I buy the hickory farms summer sausage. It's a perfect company for the platano sancochado!

I love Induveca. It's what I grew up on.
