i'm just venting!

i apologize for venting here. i hope i'm aloud.. but you know when you don't want to cook and you know that if you do, is not gona come out right. well, i thought of my husband and child who deserve to eat a nice dinner and headed to the kitchen.. i prepared four different dishes and only ONE came out right.. el arroz blanco!.. omg!.. i'm soo frustrated ...i'm 7 months pregnant.. so you can imagine how my emotions are doubled..i feel like crying.. i was craving this dish.. and it didn't come out right...ok so, since i'm already here..i wanted to make chuleta al horno and it came out horrible..how do you prepare it?. seasoning wise too. i totally suck at cooking. i called my mom in law and i just can;t stand when i ask for a recipe and they tell me.."oh, sasonalo the same way you do the rest of the meats".. i'm like,, hello!!!, i dont cook other meats the same way each one.. argh!!!!!....
well, i apologize for such a long whinning...

thanks

Hi Butterfly. Count to three. Breathe deep... there, there.

I understand your frustrations, but frankly, you are pregnant, if this isn't a time to wind down and take it easy, none will.

We have a couple of recipes for chuleta in the "Your Recipes" section of the forum. Maybe you should give those a try.

And by the way, I know how it feels to spend hours in the kitchen and come up thinking that maybe I was better off ordering Chinese. Good times, good times.

This is why I love this site. My suegra doesn't seem to know anything about measuring ingredients. Not worth asking.

I couldn't agree more veevee!
Oh...dear butterfly! Don't stress, you're pregnant after all. Here's what you do: Show your hubbby one of the recipe's for chuleta in the forums and then get him to make it instead. Like I said, you are pregnant! Just take it easy! I have a toddler and I'm also pregnant. My fella didn't have a clue in the kitchen when we met but he's since gotten alot better and now that we are proud owners of tia Clara and Ilana's book, I can't wait to see what will be coming out of the kitchen now! I compliment his food everytime and which makes him want to cook more. I'm not lazy but I have to balance work and family life, which means delagating the things I can't do.
Oh...and don't worrying about venting, you're pregnant it's allowed!

Not long now, just 7 weeks left. I've finished work now and I wish I could take it easy but we're in the process of moving. On the plus side I will have a bigger and better kitchen, which is great as you just can't get me out of the kitchen these days. My colleagues find it unbelievable that I'm cooking up a huge dinner from scratch in the evening and still finding time to bake a batch of homemade cupcakes for the whole department. Everyone had better make the most of it now as I'm pretty sure it won't be happening once baby arrives.
