Angry Things you hate to cook...

...or the things we do for love.

I hate cooking bacon. I hate it, I hate it, I hate it. But my husband loves it, it is after all something of a tradition in his country. I have developed my own method of cooking bacon that allows me to 'interact' with it the least possible. I don't know why if I cook all kinds of meat with no problem, I am guessing is all the fat and the mess left behind.

Is there anything you hate to cook and somebody at home loves, or something you love and everybody else at home hates?

I hate cooking Mondongo (tripe) Yuck! I developed a plan that worked for me. Since my husband likes it so much. I found a trusted Dominican Restaurant and purchase it for him I then go home and put in in a pot-- viola, no funky smell. Yeah a bit sneaky but as long as I don't have to do it. I also have asked my friends to invite him over anytime they make it.

Aunt Squeamish here. I simply can't make anything that grosses me out. I run out of the kitchen when someone opens a tin of tuna, it's that bad.

Apart from that, when it comes to food that I like, I hate grating carrots, because it's so boring and repetitive, and chopping auyama, just because it's such a total pain.

I hate cooking dominican rice. Sometimes I get it perfect and sometimes it's a disaster.

I CAN NOT stand cleaning chicken!!! I'm calling on technology to help with this! It's a necessity to do, i know, so i get those gloves and lime/lemon juice out and get dirty ( or slimy that is) .. oh don't forget the bleach to clean up afterwards. BTW, Tia thanks for emailing me to help me.
