Can't say that I have had any problems with baby weight hanging on. I was a gym buff into lifting weights and step aerobics before I got pregnant. I actually did aerobics until 6 months then I stopped because I started getting winded. Everyone's situation is different when it comes to losing weight after having a baby due to the change in your metabolism and if your breastfeeding. My pre-pregnancy weight was 135lbs and I went up to 162lbs, now I'm down to 130lbs soaking wet at 5'5" and I'm trying to gain weight. So I guess it depends on what you like to see yourself at. I think I look like a toothpick but I can't gain any weight and it doesnt help that I'm breastfeeding but it's saving me money on formula.

May I say I envy you?

I am trying, once again, to shake off the excess weight I gained during my pregnancy, I mean, my daughter is 16 months, at some point I will need another excuse (right before she turns 18 I suppose).

It takes about a year to lose all the pregnant hormones and so aunt Clara, it is not strange you do not lose weight,.... take it easy. and it is better to lose it slow, because otherwise it is getting on faster to .
Better eat normal and walk a bit extra, or swimming and,....... if you leave out some extras like sweets or some kind,........... every 14 days you need to give your body 1 day for extras, chocolate cakes junk food what ever because if you only eat low vet the body get used to it and you will not lose weight anymore.
so that 1 day every 10 /14 days you will maybe get a bit more but after you will lose again. this way you will lose weight slowly but it will hold longer

Hi! I'm new! I'm glad to see there are others struggling like me to get rid of the baby fat. I have about 24lbs to lose. I actually lost more than 30lbs prior to getting pregnant and then put it all on again and during those nine months.
I don't even know why it's been so difficult to shift the weight because my daughter never gives me any spare time to eat anyway!

The baby weight sucks

I had a baby June of 2006 and thank god all i gained was 5 pounds.. very long story to that. But now im probably 25 pounds over weight because i been stayin at home with my son. He is now 6 months and instead of losing the weight its either im gaining or remaining at the same weight.. any advice would help, they say breastfeeding helps but i did it for 4 months and i still gained weight. I feel your pain aunt clara..

I give up. every time I tried to lose the weight I'd get pregnant again. The thing is, most of my pregnancies have been while I was on birth control. so far the IUD has worked. I'm past the two year mark and haven't popped any more out. My kids are 2,4,6 & 8..... so you can see where I would be sweating bullets by the 2 year mark. Thank goodness for IUD's N.E. ways maybe now I can finally begin the weight loss journey. Then again, with my luck, I'll get pregnant 10lbs shy of my goal
