We too have an interracial, intercultural marriage. So far the people that have given me more grief are my latino girlfriends (I grew up in a latino neighborhood), something about stealing latino men. Never mind that I didn't steal anyone, my husband was single and came to live in the US after we got married. I just tell them off.
I am like azucarnegra, I always liked the latino culture, even if my whitebread parents disaproved. We are having some trouble, but nothing that newlyweds don't have. He misses his food and all my friends are Mexicans, so I have to learn how to cook it, and teach him! I bought an English cookbook for me and one in Spanish for dh and with this site we have cooked some things.
