UK Novice

Hi Everyone, I live in the UK and am planning my wedding to my partner, who is Dominican, at the end of 2008. We are currently living in the UK but planning to live in the Dominican for a year next year. We've made a pact to try out different recipes from each of our cultures; I cook Dominican, he cooks British - could be interesting but hopefully fun. I think I'll try out small things first and build up to the more complicated dishes! Looking forward to sharing ideas and tips with everyone.

Hello there!
Welcome to the forums. You've come to the right place, the recipes here are so straight forward to follow and in my case have helped me make an impression on my in-laws and even my own parents.
What will be interesting is when the two cusines start to merge on your dinner plate. It's not unusual in our house to have shepherd's pie with tostones or longaniza with mash and onion gravy!
Good luck with the wedding planning!
