Talking Sofrito

Hello my comadres y compadres!....Just wanted to ask...is there anyone here that knows how to make sofritos?? One of the tricks that I had learned was to do sofrito to save time and energy (or is it just me being lazy?). I have yet to bump into a recipe that shows how to make sofrito. I as a mother of 2 but constantly feeding an army (neighbors, brother in law, mother in law, etc...) feel that this is the easiest, quickest and very tasteful way of seasoning meat, rice and beans for the family. I know how to make it, but sometimes I wonder aside from putting in a blender garlic, red and green peppers, red onion, cilantro, culantro, olives, black pepper, vinegar and some red win, I got a feeling that there are other ingredients that u can add to it or other ways to make sofrito.
