| I have tried this and it's too much baking soda. With due respect, here is my version for the ingredients. Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour A pinch of baking soda 3 tablespoons cold water 1 egg 1 tablespoon of butter Salt to taste Oil to fry |

I love it, I make then for my kids all the time and they love it too, it take me back when I use to buy then in the corner of my aunt's house, early in the morning, "The best breakfast in the world" hot and crispy and also when you go to the beach (Boca Chica) they have it there too.. So what can be better than that ![]() |

| Just wondering, I believe I've had yaniqueques filled with cheese, am I correct in thinking that there's a distinction between this and pastelitos with cheese? If so, could you (or anyone else) tell me how to add cheese and/or meat to your yaniqueque recipe? Thanx! |
