the trick is which no one mention, for years I have been waiting for people to say it and enclude it in there recipes is:

the: Dominican Vanilla.

thats where the smell comes from the regular vanilla will not give it that taste or smell that you are looking for. you can get it from like c-town other panish stores. I wonder why no one tells anyone that. thats what you must use and you will notice the differnence. it is the most important peace of this cake.
I am looking for a dominican cke that has bread in it but is a cake not a pudding if anyone knows please tell me.
