Somehow I lost track of this thread... so if anyone is there.
I stopped eating meat after I got food poison from some bad beef. At first it was "let's do this until I don't freak out anymore at the sight of meat". Then I just stopped altogether.
I've eaten serrano once in a while. Aunt Ilana (non-meat-eater too) and I have the same philosophy: "serrano no es carne" (serrano is not meat).
