Does anyone know someone who makes Domincan cakes in the Naples/Ft.Myers area? If not possibly in the Ft. Lauderdale/Miami area?

Thanks

Just a comment on this recipe. The ingredients call for baking powder but then the instructions don't tell you where this should be added. What you should do is add it to the flour. Made this recipe for the first time and although it was a hit I think I will bake the cakes without the pineapple and then add the pineapple filling after. It was too messy cooking the pineaple with the cake.

Please notice that there is a part of the recipe that says Before starting to cook: it says there what to do with the baking powder. It is imperative that you read the recipe carefully before starting.

I followed the instructions meticulously but the cake did not rise. Why? Although the cake came out with a lot of flavor.
