I have not had a chance to go through all the comments. I am not too thrilled about pineapple filling. I have had this with raspberry filling. I actually used red raspberry jam(jelly). Does anyone have an idea of how to make red raspberry filling. Or should I just substitute the pineapple for red raspberries. Thank you

Hi, I only have one question, because I have tried so many different kinds of Dominican cakes, but I tried this one that came out soooo soft, and this is my question, how can I make my cake to come out supper moist? I don't like it dry or hard, what ingredient makes the cake moist? Thank u

I found the trick of using half margarine, half butter to give it a very moist, soft texture. Never mind that it makes the cake even more fattening. ![]()

And by the way, to make strawberry filling use the instructions for pineapple filling but substitute strawberries for pineapples.
