I have not had a chance to go through all the comments. I am not too thrilled about pineapple filling. I have had this with raspberry filling. I actually used red raspberry jam(jelly). Does anyone have an idea of how to make red raspberry filling. Or should I just substitute the pineapple for red raspberries. Thank you

Hi, I only have one question, because I have tried so many different kinds of Dominican cakes, but I tried this one that came out soooo soft, and this is my question, how can I make my cake to come out supper moist? I don't like it dry or hard, what ingredient makes the cake moist? Thank u 

I found the trick of using half margarine, half butter to give it a very moist, soft texture. Never mind that it makes the cake even more fattening.

And by the way, to make strawberry filling use the instructions for pineapple filling but substitute strawberries for pineapples.
