I'm so glad u posted this recipe... My mom is the QUEEN of habichuela con dulce in easter my relatives come over to my house with topperware my mom make like 4 pounds of beans...

CAn the sweet potatoes be subsitutes for sweet potatoes in a can they are also called yams

There seems to be certain confusion about which are yams and which sweet potatoes depending on where you come from. The one you need is the sweet one.
