Does this look like a tropical paradise to you? Exactly!
If you are anywhere near hurricane area you have probably paid attention to whacky Tomas and its weird trajectory. Once again we escape being flattened by the angry god Hurakan. Instead we got a few days of sad-looking sky and lots of rain.
Unfortunately, many people in the Caribbean had it much worse, so perhaps I should shut up and stop whining.
One entire weekend of cabin fever, lots of ginger tea, no TV (we lose the satellite signal with rain), unmade beds, crumpled sofa cushions, lots of reading, and warm, spicy soups. At times it felt like a nice break from the usual, but I am ready for the sun, so if somebody took it, would you be so kind?
I hope your weekend was better than mine.

You captured the mood so well. I always thought hurricanes/typhoons and big storms were kind of exciting and cozy at the same time. I'll be sure to tune in later this week for your freebies : 0 )

We have actually had a fair amount of sun in SW England the past month, but quite a lot of rain in recent weeks.. if I happen to see your sunshine I will send it your way
