I lived in the Dominican Republic for 18 years, as a missionary , wife, and mother. I didn’t know how blessed I was at the time. My two grown kids were raised there and have wonderful memories of their childhoods there. Every December, we knew Christmas had arrived when we heard Jose Feliciano singing “I Want to Wish You A Merry Christmas”…and we saw the apples and grapes hanging from booths in the streets. Merry Christmas, Aunt Clara. Que Dios Te Bendiga…
